For the US Agency for International Development (USAID), LTS converted thousands of documents that report and describe the results of each development experience project around the world to electronic media now accessible via a searchable online web site called the Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC). LTS developed the website that provides these documents, previously available only in paper or microfiche format so a requestor waited for the document to be located and mailed. Requestors now easily locate, view, and download documents by subject, country, title, author, date, project number and other information. The files are generally in .pdf format. The USAID Clearinghouse processes approximately 4 million document downloads per year to requestors across the world.
